Retailers are leaking GTA 6's price ahead of imminent pre-orders, and it's time to start preparing your wallet for Vice City.
Three major retailers — two US-based, one UK-based — have independently listed GTA 6 at $79.99 USD for the standard edition. A 'Collector's Edition' at $129.99 has also appeared at one retailer, though no details on what's included have been confirmed.
The $79.99 price point aligns with industry predictions. Several major publishers have already tested $70 pricing with their AAA titles, and Rockstar's premium positioning makes an additional $10 premium likely.
In the UK, the title has been listed at £74.99, and €79.99 in Europe. These regional prices represent a notable increase from GTA 5's £49.99/€59.99 launch pricing, reflecting 13 years of inflation and platform pricing evolution.
If the $79.99 price holds, expect it to generate significant discussion at launch. However, given GTA 6's expected content scale, most analysts believe the market will absorb the premium without issue. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has previously suggested GTA 6 represents 'unprecedented value.'
